• The football player cards must be turned in at Jamboree.
  • The cards will be certified by the Executive Board and a committee put together by Executive Board.
  • All players will attend weigh-ins. Your weigh-in location and time will be given to you at a later date.
  • Weigh-ins will be done in a more controlled manner than ever before. Teams will be asked to line up with no less than 4 coaches per squad for control. That means that besides the President, there should be no less than 20 coaches per organization. There will be no roaming around the school area. Each city will line up together in the following order:

    Scouts
    Jr. Pee Wee
    Pee Wee
    Jr Midget
    Midget

  • The only people allowed in the weigh-area will be Players and Head Coaches. Each organization will be responsible for their crowd control. Parents, friends and siblings need to be kept out of this area and be kept under control. There is not to be any smoking what so ever on school grounds. This is an issue every year and it can’t be tolerated. Every year we have damage and a mess left after weigh-ins. Discourage extra people that night. Lets get in and out as quickly and orderly as possible. We are looking to each city to make sure that this happens.
  • Players will be weighed in the same fashion as in the past.
  • Immediately following the last child being weighed, Presidents will go to the designated area to pick up their player card packages. Cards will be returned for all players who have met all certification and weight requirements.
  • Please be aware, if there is a problem with a card, and the conference has pulled it, the card will not be returned that night and no corrections will be made at that time. Some of the most common reasons that a card would be pulled would be issues with the age requirement, problems with the physical or with the parental consent. Players that do not make weight or are not there to be weighed will have their card pulled.
  • Again, NO FIXES WILL BE ALLOWED THE NIGHTS OF WEIGH-INS. Plan on participants without cards not participating the first week.
Please take time with your player card packages. Some of the issues could be avoided if someone just did a double check. Besides the child not being able to participate week one, avoid the high fines by checking your cards.
Some of the most common problems besides no physical, no picture, no proof of age or no signatures were:
  • The wrong numbers of rosters were turned in.
  • The player card, physical card or rosters have been changed or reproduced. You can only use DVYFC cards and rosters or exact reproductions of them. Some organizations were changing forms and this causes nothing but problems that you may not even be aware of. It also can add time to the certification process.
  • Rosters were so messy that you couldn’t read them. Coaches were not listed on the rosters. The wrong number of rosters were turned in or the wrong roster form used. Remember, when you turn in your cards at Jamboree, staple a copy of the Jamboree roster on the outside of the envelope. The night of weigh-ins, you must bring the Official Rosters with no more than 35 players listed.
  • Please make sure that when you turn your cards in, they are clearly marked with your organizations name, division (Scout, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee etc.) and Footbal/Cheerl. This saves time when we are going through the certification process and when we get ready to return them back.
